How the Heck do you pronounce, "Mihlon?" Needless to say, it's been pronounced many ways...some of which not too flattering. It's actually pronounced "My-Lahn". Born Lawrence L. Mihlon, Larry developed an interest in film from an early age. His father, producer Lawrence F. Mihlon, often wondered where the 8mm movie camera went when Larry decided to make some of his own movies. Larry has spent three decades as a law enforcement officer, first with the United States National Park Service and most recently as the Captain of the West Long Branch (New Jersey) Police Department. He spent ten consecutive years as a Detective and in his early years trained with SWAT. With a keen interest in history, Larry's spent many years in "reenacting". American Civil War, Old West & World War II were the focus, culminating in the formation of a world wide combat aviation group, the Luftwaffe Aircrew Reenactors Association (LARA). Larry serves as Director of the LARA and has assisted in the production of documentary films. The LARA was also recognized in the biography of Eastern Front veteran Gottfried Dulias, "Another Bowl of Kapusta". Meticulous about accuracy, Larry maintains his own costumes for his roles. He has assisted in costuming and props for every film he has acted in. For his role as "Karl" in JAS Entertainment's, Missing Jane, Larry was nominated in 2005 at the SMMASH Film Festival for Best Supporting Actor. |
